Pierre's Quiz

Thu Oct 15, 2009, 9:02 PM
The Rules:
1. You must choose only ONE of your OCs. Do it again if you wanna use another OC.
2. Your OC must answer every question as truthfully as possible.
3. Title the journal as “OC’s Quiz” (your OC’s name. Example: “Kaiser’s Quiz” ).
4. When you’re done, tag as many people as you want.
5. Have fun!!!

1. Hi! What’s your real name and nickname?

I am Master Playwright Pierre Maurice Gringoire, though all of my life, I’ve been known simply as “Gringoire.” The only soul who refers to me as “ Pierre” is my dearest Gwenevere, and once in a great while, she calls me “Mon Soleil.” *blush*

2. Interesting . . . what’s your current age?

I am 37 years of age.

3. Uh huh. What’s your favorite food?

*chuckling* Gwenevere would tell you that I’m always hungry, and she is right. Penniless poets such as myself are constantly found with empty pockets and an empty stomach. And, like my love of words and architecture, my appetite is rather large; hence, I savor whatever food I can procure. I adore the smell of freshly baked bread in the morning, and I know of a kindhearted vendor or two who will offer me a piece of fruit for breakfast when I am short of money. I wouldn’t argue with a loaf of rye, a slab of bacon, and a couple of apples for supper . . . *rubs belly wistfully*

4. And your favorite drink?

Oh, well, beer of course, and wine. However, good wines are especially difficult to come by. I’m used to tasting vinegar as opposed to wine.

5. Confession time! Who’s your crush/lover?

My beloved Gwenevera, of course.

6. Aww! Have you two kissed yet?

*chuckling* Oh, I believe we crossed that particular threshold long ago . . .

7. Classic question! What’s your favorite color?

*scratches chin* Hmmm, I’m rather partial to earth tones . . . navy blue . . . olive green . . .

8. Who’s your favorite author?
Oh, without question, Anthanase de Vere! I require his novels nearly as much as I require air to breathe and food to eat. He inspired me to become a writer; he is my idol.

9. Now, what’s your biggest fear?

Don’t scoff, but it is the hangman’s noose. I’ve come too close to the gallows one too many times . . . *messages neck* Oh, and if anything were to happen to my beloved Gwenevere, I don’t know what would become of me! She has become my reason for living. I also fear the newly developed printing press. Wondrous as it is, it endangers my work as a scribe. Such work is difficult to come by as it is.

10. *stifles a giggle* I’m not laughing . . . *bursts out laughing*

I said don’t scoff! A plague on you, stupid and dull-witted little girl!

11. Awesome. Who’s your hero?

Please, tell no one, but my hero (besides Anthanase) is Dom Claude Frollo. Had he not swept me under his wing and taught me all I now know, I would still be a child of the streets, penniless and starving. . . . Well, not much has changed since then, but my piece performed at the Feast of Fools must count for something!

12. Ok, who is your worst enemy?

Hmph, Clopin Trouillefou.

13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy got together?

*snort* Nothing. Oh, alright, I would intervene only because Gwenevere adores Trouillefou so. The gypsies use me as a spy to stay a step ahead of Dom Claude. As I’ve stated, Frollo is a friend of mine and I’ve nothing against him; though I do despise his desire to purge the world of unrighteousness, particularly the gypsies. Though to see Trouillefou in the same room with Frollo would be a treat . . .

14. Interesting . . . what would you do if you met your creator?

*smiling* Well, she’s not my creator per say, but she has contributed to my being in a very personal manner. I believe she lives vicariously through me. I’m very fond of her and after all, she helped bring Gwen and me together.

15. Okay, I’ll contact her right now. Done! Now, what do you want to be when you grow up?

I am grown up. I was a child of the streets and an orphan at the age of six. At age sixteen, I searched for a profession. I attempted to be a soldier, a monk, a woodcutter’s apprentice, a schoolmaster . . . As it turned out, I was fit for nothing and so tried my hand at poetry. I was eventually fortunate enough to study under Claude Frollo, as I have told you, and now here I stand.

16. What’s your worst nightmare?

Waking up one morning only to discover that pens, ink, and parchment no longer exist. Laugh if you must, but I speak the truth.

17. What’s your lifelong dream?

*sigh* To one day be recognized as the greatest poet of my time . . .

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?

My, you ask a lot of questions, don’t you? *laughing* Hm, I suppose, I would drink generously to my health and good fortune and bask in my new found glory until the end of my days.

19. Ok, where’s your favorite place to relax?

The fountain where I write, the sanctity of Notre Dame Cathedral, Le Val d’amour . . . er, rather, that is BEFORE I found my Gwenevere . . . Though I have been living there for months, the atmosphere of the Court of Miracles still sends a shiver of fear and repulsion down my spine. I simply can’t allow myself to stoop to the barbaric ways of the Court, though I am now a tramp.

20. Last question! What do you spend most of your time doing?

Where to begin? The majority of my day is spent writing, followed by seeking commissions or patrons willing to invest in my work. Naturally, I would gladly remain entwined in my love’s arms from morning ‘til night, but such romantic fancies are not practical, I know. I suppose a great deal of my time is spent thinking and day dreaming as well as appreciating the architectural wonders around me. I’ve been known to sing a ballad or two as well . . . I enjoy interacting with Esmeralda, Quasimodo, Frollo . . . I can’t exactly say the same for Châteaupers and Trouillefou. My nights are often spent gazing fondly at the moon . . .

21. We’re done! Now tag whoever the hell you want.

Hmm, let me see . . . I tag anyone who wants to do this!

  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: Mes chansons singles . . . :D
  • Reading: The Vampire Lestat

Hey there. :D I was wondering if you could do a little request for me. Could you draw the beatles in Disney-style? I thought about doing it myself, but,I don't think I'd be as good as you. If you can't,that's okay. But,I would really like it if you can. Don't rush, though. Take your time.
